Just Announced! Regina Spektor on Broadway

    Hi Friends,
    I hope you’re well!

I wanted to share some very lovely news with you. I’m coming to Broadway!
For 5 shows this June, I’ll be playing at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre!
    June 20, 21, 22, 25 and 26.

As a thank you for your support and signing up to my mailing list, I wanted to share the earliest ticket pre-sale with you. Today is the day the shows get announced. Tomorrow, Tuesday 3/26, at 10 am ET, you can follow THIS link, and use the password “WEST46” to get access to the first batch of tickets available.

I am so excited as I plan these 5 nights on Broadway. One of the things I'm most interested in is the chance to explore new and theatrical elements within my concert show. This isn't a "Broadway Show", and yet, it's not a tour concert either. I'm revisiting all the songs I've ever written to see how some of them might group together and connect into a show. I think I’ll be rotating the solo songs quite a bit between the 5 shows, and I'm finding ways to reimagine many of them. Some haven't been played since my days of playing bars, cafés, and open mics. I’m exploring some new instrumentation and arrangements too. Also learning new ways of approaching scenic elements, video, lights, and props. I've never had an intermission before! (Shhhhh, don’t tell anyone, I want it to be a surprise! *Hopefully I’ll figure out how to do a show with an intermission…) There will be some special guests too, bringing elements I’ve never had before!

The Lunt-Fontanne is a beautiful old theater, with a rich history. I feel like it will be a great home for these explorations. I've always loved the theater, but as you tour the world, setting up in new cities, it’s hard to bring some of these theatrical elements along. Usually they're implied – maybe in the DNA of the songs, or in the spirit of the shows. This will be a great new way to actualize some of the things I've only been able to ponder... So far the plan is to set up at the Lunt-Fontanne, and in my own small way, pay homage to Broadway. These days I go to sleep and wake up thinking about the many details and ideas I can try. It's such an exciting and fun way to play music!
I hope to see you there!
    Cheers,
    regina

P.S. Even if you can’t make it to these shows, hopefully I’ll learn something new with this project and bring it to your town next time around… The road is long, and I’m sure we’ll see each other somewhere soon. For now take good care of yourselves, those around you, and I will try to do the same! Spring is here again!
